About Asia Hospitality Human Resources Association

The Asia Hospitality Human Resources Association (AHHRA) is a Malaysia-registered professional association dedicated to developing hospitality talent and creating career opportunities for both Malaysian and international youth.

Through strategic collaboration with DHS Hospitality Academy Sdn. Bhd., the Association facilitates a wide range of industry-focused initiatives, including hospitality career preparation, internship and industrial placement program, skills development, leadership training, and workforce readiness program.

AHHRA's mission is to bridge the gap between education and employment by connecting young people with meaningful learning experiences and career pathways within Malaysia's hospitality and tourism industry. By working closely with hotels, industry partners, educational institutions, government agencies, and community organisations, the Association aims to develop a highly skilled, globally competitive, and future-ready hospitality workforce.

Together with DHS Hospitality Academy, AHHRA continues to empower youth through innovative program that enhance employability, promote professional excellence, and contribute to the sustainable growth of the hospitality industry in Malaysia and the Asia-Pacific region.

The Asia Hospitality Human Resources Association (AHHRA) operates through four dedicated educational institutions that collectively support hospitality education, workforce development, and community empowerment across Malaysia:

Together, these institutions deliver industry-focused education, skills training, career preparation, and professional development program designed to meet the evolving needs of the hospitality and tourism industry.

AHHRA is committed to expanding access to quality education and career opportunities for underserved communities, including B40 families, unemployed youth, single mothers, school leavers, persons seeking career transitions, and other vulnerable groups. Through strategic partnerships with government agencies, industry stakeholders, community organizations, and DHS Hospitality Academy, these schools provide sponsored training, employability program, and career pathways that equip participants with the knowledge, practical skills, and confidence needed to secure sustainable employment and build successful careers in the hospitality industry.

The transition after SPM or UEC can be challenging for many Malaysian youths due to uncertainty, financial limitations, and lack of clear career direction. In this context, the hospitality industry offers a practical and structured pathway for early career development.

Through hands-on experience in hotels, restaurants, cafés, and tourism services, youths gain real-world exposure to workplace operations and customer engagement. This practical learning helps them better understand industry expectations, build confidence, and make more informed decisions about their future career paths.
