UNEMPLOYED GRADUATES PROGRAMS
In 2024, Malaysia had about 5.98 million graduates in the labour force.
The graduate unemployment rate fell to around 3.2 %, slightly down from 3.4 % in 2023.
This means roughly 165,900 graduates were unemployed in 2024.
Around 61 % of active job-seeking graduates found employment within three months of entering the job market.
DHS & SG Quest Global Talent Development Programs
DHS, in collaboration with SG Quest Singapore, introduced the 24-Month Management Training Program in 2018 to address graduate employability through structured international exposure and industry-led training. The inaugural intake, comprising UiTM School of Hospitality graduates, achieved a 100% placement outcome, with 40 candidates successfully placed to date.
In 2026, DHS and SG Quest further strengthened their international initiatives with the launch of the Live-in Tutor Program in Kazakhstan, a 12-month structured internship designed for unemployed graduates and qualified tutors seeking global experience and professional development.
